Salary: £26,000.00 to £32,000.00 /year (depending on experience)

Main tasks:

  • Deal with customer enquiries over the phone, via email and in person
  • Book jobs into the MIS system so they can be tracked through the workshop
  • Partake in daily Work In Progress (WIP) meetings to ensure all jobs are on schedule
  • Order materials such as paper and ink from a network of different suppliers
  • Organise production priority schedules with the Production Director and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with the different print and bookbinding departments to ensure jobs are completed on time
  • Liaise with the delivery driver to plan out daily deliveries

Essential characteristics:

  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Good time management
  • Previous experience within the printing industry
  • Ability to work well in a small, close-knit team

Preferred but not essential:

  • Previous experience of MIS systems (Experience of Optimus would be a distinct advantage)
  • Previous experience in customer services

Alongside these skills, the ideal candidate would also need to:

  • Be comfortable with starting work early. The hours would be 7:30am – 5pm (with the occasional need to work overtime when facing very tight deadlines)

Holiday Allowance: 26 days + standard UK bank holidays
