Driver / Print Finisher

Company:

Main tasks:

  • Hand finishing and fulfilment of customer work
  • Ability to drive and deliver goods to our customers in the Central London area
  • Packing finished goods to a high standard for goods outward
  • Liaising with the print production team to plan out deliveries

Essential characteristics:

  • Mature approach
  • Ability to work under pressure in a print environment
  • Methodical

  • Personable attitude
  • Fit and healthy due to lifting requirements
  • Smart Appearance
  • Good knowledge of Central London
  • Full Driving licence with maximum 3 penalty points

Print Production Manager

Company:

The proud holders of two Royal Warrants, Barnard & Westwood work with some of the most prestigious institutions and companies in the country.

Main tasks:

  • Book jobs into the MIS system so they can be tracked through the workshop
  • Order materials such as paper and ink from a network of different suppliers
  • Deal with customer queries over the phone and via email
  • Organise production priority schedules with the Production Director and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with the different print and bookbinding departments to ensure jobs are completed on time
  • Liaise with the delivery driver to plan out daily deliveries
  • Conduct daily Work In Progress (WIP) meetings to ensure all jobs are on schedule

Essential characteristics:

  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Good time management
  • Previous experience within the printing industry
  • Ability to work well in a small, close-knit team

Preferred but not essential:

  • Previous experience of MIS systems (Experience of Optimus would be a distinct advantage)
  • Previous experience in customer services
