Barnard & Westwood regard environmental responsibilities to be of the utmost importance and is committed to the reduction of both local and global environmental damage and the pursuit of sustainability in all areas that we operate in.

To achieve this Barnard & Westwood:

  • Uses a fully electric vehicle to carry out deliveries and encourages employees to walk, cycle or take public transport to work
  • Is fully FSC® and PEFC® certified
  • Has several recycling bins located throughout the premises
  • Operates a minimum waste practice on the factory floor, reducing the use of raw materials, energy and supplies
  • Ensures that all paper used within Barnard & Westwood is from sustainable (managed) forests
  • Raises awareness, encourages participation and trains employees in environmental matters
  • Expects similar environmental standards from all suppliers and contractors
  • Wherever possible, chooses non-harmful, non-polluting chemicals and technologies
  • Reviews and assesses the environmental impact of all historic, current and likely future operations
